Alpharetta Georgia is found in the northern end of Fulton County.  The City of Atlanta is the dividing point between North and South Fulton County, which stretches over 70 miles.  Fulton County has an unusual elongated shape encompassing 529 square miles.

Historic Shops of Crabapple - Alpharetta’s Crabapple community is known near and far for its antique shops, boutiques, and fashionable restaurants. 

Wills Park- Located next to the Alpharetta City Pool, Wills Park offers 100 acres of baseball fields, tennis courts, a Frisbee golf course, walking trails, picnicking facilities, and the “Wacky World” playground-kingdom for kids.

Autrey Mill Nature Preserve- The Autrey Mills Nature Preserve includes 1.5 miles of beautiful hiking trails, 46 acres of pristine forests, and an historic plantation site from the 1800s.  The Preserve has special environmental programs and events year round. 

Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area—Spanning 4 counties, the Recreation Area offers fishing, boating, hiking, Native American archeological sites, and natural flora and fauna. 

Historic Downtown- The Historic Downtown Alpharetta Square is the shopping maven’s delight, with antique shops, flower shops, boutiques, fine dining, and more.

Milton Log Cabin- This historical destination was originally a schoolhouse, built in 1934 by the Future Farmers of America club.  Regular tours are available.

Walk of Memories- A memorial is a tribute to the veterans of the US Armed Forces, the Walk of Memories is a brick walkway inscribed with the names of Georgia residents killed in the service.

The Cooler- With ice arenas for figure skating and ice hockey, and professional flooring for roller hockey, The Cooler is great place to beat the summer heat.

Old Soldiers Day Parade & Road Race- Alpharetta’s Memorial Day celebrations include a commemorative ceremony, followed by a parade with bands, floats, antique cars, and more.

4th of July Celebration- Located at Wills Park, end your holiday festivities under stars with free children’s activities, live entertainment, and fireworks. 

Old Milton Country Fair
- The Old Milton Country Fair celebrates North Georgia’s pioneer days.  Festivities include leather working, genealogical services, gold panning, and arrow crafting. 

Alpharetta Half Marathon and 10K Road Race- This is just one of several marathons offered throughout the year in Alpharetta.
 
Lighting Ceremony Kick off your holiday season with the Tree Lighting Ceremony in downtown Alpharetta.  The event is celebrated with holiday music, dancing, refreshments, and free activities for children.
